Ashton Coal Operations Limited includes an underground coal mine, a Coal Handling and Preparation Plant, a rail siding and an open cut mine that has now been completed.
Ashton is located 14km northwest of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales.

About Ashton Coal
Located in the Upper Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, the Ashton underground mine is one of the oldest mines within New South Wales. The mine produces semi-soft coking coal for export through the Port of Newcastle.
Ashton’s Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) produces high quality semi-soft coal for use in the steel manufacturing industry and thermal coal for use in power generation.
